Job Summary:

Bechtel is now accepting applications from Engineering or Quantity Surveying graduates to join our 2027 Graduate Program located at our Sydney or Perth office. Commencing in January 2027, this Bechtel Graduate position offers insights across major projects, functions, and offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the infrastructure industry. Applicants must be Australian Citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Major Responsibilities:

• Supports senior estimators in all relevant cost estimating activities
• Support interfaces between the estimating team and other project stakeholders
• Collects, reconciles, and verifies data for summary comparisons and estimate development 
• Gathers data and supports the development of dedicated reporting using Bechtel tools, applications, and AI-enabled solutions, where applicable
• Supports basic detail pricing for non-manual labour services using functional staffing and other direct cost (ODC) inputs  
• Gathers appropriate quantity and labour/ODC information for an assigned discipline or specialty  
• Supports overall estimate generation, consolidation, and quality checks as directed by discipline leads and the Project Estimator, in accordance with standard processes and procedures

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Applicants must have (or be about to complete) a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited university within the last 18 months.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quantity Surveying would be advantageous.
• Be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.
• Be able to pass any pre-employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.
