Job Summary:

In this role, you will plan architectural layouts, prepare detailed design and layout drawings for small structures. You will use 2-D/3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to help prepare architectural designs and construction drawings. You will help prepare job hour forecasts, quantity take-offs, and change orders for architectural work. You will review deliverables prepared by others to help ensure that they comply with Owner's requirements. 

"This position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy for full-time employees, and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership”

Major Responsibilities:

  • Plans architectural layouts, prepares detailed architectural design and layout drawings for small structures and portions of major buildings​ 
  • Assists in preparation of specifications and related documents​ 
  • Prepares building material interface details for review by senior personnel​ 
  • Participates in reviews and recommends approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements​ 
  • Develops construction drawings using 2-D / 3-D computer aided design (CAD) and Revit 
  • Coordinates work and collaborates with other engineering disciplines​ 
  • Prepares procurement and subcontract requisition documents and assists with technical bid evaluations
  • Participates in studies that require knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in architectural work​ 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Check for clashes between architectural elements and structural, mechanical or other building systems.
  • Develop custom Revit Families.
  • Assist in the development of a reference library of both 2D and 3D Revit families
  • Develop filters for data exchange between different modeling platforms (Revit, MicroStation/Bentley, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD)
  • Assist other team members in learning modeling standards.
  • Revit experience in architectural production drawings and development of families and templates
  • Basic knowledge of construction and components.
  • The applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and decision-making skills within the tasks assigned.
  • Bachelor of Architecture required.
  • Desire to become a licensed architect preferred.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo for Revit a plus.
  • Knowledge of AI Agent development and application a plus.
