Project Overview:
Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will lead a project support team by performing technical or commercial logistics work. Your team will be responsible for domestic and international multi-leg shipments with both internal and external entities, ensuring safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements. Your guidance will ensure logistics requirements for projects are met.

Major Responsibilities:
- Establishes and implements plans, instructions, procedures, and work process improvements to ensure the safe, and economical delivery of goods to meet requirements on a complex project
- Provides cost, transportability, Service, and terms and conditions analysis as requested to assist with project proposals, materials/equipment purchases, and the selection of Logistics Service Providers
- Represents logistics at supplier/contractor kickoff meetings to review supplier/contractor delivery and Bechtel Logistics requirements contained in purchase and contract documents
- Prepares and presents Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations, and contract documents for approval by project and or customer management
- Negotiates Logistics Service Provider agreements to maximize Bechtel’s commercial and technical interests
- Oversees Logistics Service Provider performance to ensure Services are carried out as contracted for and to ensure that project requirements are satisfied
- Interacts with project management to review logistics strategies in consideration of cost, risk, and schedule assessments
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Bechtel and Supply Chain instructions, policies, and procedures. Bechtel Logistics procedures (Supply Chain College). Logistics service provider pricing, services, operations and terms and conditions. BGL corporate agreements.
- Logistics module as a Logistics cost and information management tool.
- Bechtel procedures and instructions for compliance with governmental regulations affecting the movement of goods and technology.
- Bechtel cargo insurance requirements and their integration into goods purchase orders and Logistics service provider agreements.
- Industry packing, marking, and shipping requirements and their application to Bechtel purchased equipment.
- Formalities and processes for importing and exporting globally.
- Trade and delivery terms and export credit agency requirements.
- Full knowledge of cost and resource requirements for preparation and management of Logistics budgets.
- Arranging for movement of over-dimensional, over-weight or hazardous materials/equipment via all modes of transportation.
- Project Logistics execution plans and procedures.
- Supervisory methods and techniques to maximize team and individual performance and ensuring employee satisfaction.
- Bechtel e-Procurement tools and techniques. Knowledge of FTZ setup and execution.
