Project Overview:
Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility.
This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come.
This position is subject to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) regulation 10 CFR Part 810, which governs the transfer of hardware, materials, and technology to support the construction and operation of commercial nuclear power plants overseas.
Job Summary:
The Field Medical Services Coordinator oversees onsite medical services and subcontracted providers to ensure compliance with Bechtel and regulatory requirements. The medical coordinator reports to project EHS Leadership and responsibilities include clinical quality oversight, case management, emergency response preparedness, and continuous improvement across all project medical facilities.
Major Responsibilities:
- Support mobilization, setup, commissioning, and turnover of site medical facilities.
- Collaborate with Corporate Medical Health team and subcontractors to establish project clinics.
- Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with scope, quality standards, and regulations.
- Conduct quarterly audits, report findings, develop and monitor corrective actions.
- Provide required reporting to the EHS Manager.
- Support case management of work-related injuries and illnesses.
- Assist in incident investigations with clinical insight.
- Contribute to development and implementation of medical emergency response procedures.
- Ensure readiness of emergency medical services onsite.
- Oversee implementation of workforce well-being and mental-health programs.
- Oversee implementation of the Bechtel Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Program (MSIPP).
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, physicians, subcontractors, and health agencies.
- Foster a culture of respect, professionalism, and teamwork across disciplines.
- Adhere to ethical principles regarding confidentiality, informed consent, and clinical integrity.
- Represent the organization professionally at all times.
- Uphold and communicate the organization’s mission, values, and goals.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience in:
- Managing clinical operations in an occupational health or industrial clinic setting.
- Oversight of subcontracted medical services and performance management.
- Developing and implementing well-being and mental health programs.
- Workers' compensation processes and reporting requirements.
- Conducting clinical and quality assessments of health service delivery.
- Occupational Health Standards, Regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a Bachelor of Nursing Science, or certified Paramedic.
- Post-graduate qualifications in Occupational Health are strongly preferred.
- English and Polish professional proficiency.
