Project Overview:
Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.
Job Summary:
In this role, you will support overall Change Management Program and consolidation as directed by Change Control Manager by following standard processes and procedures. You will assist in the preparation of cost studies & trend estimates. Your work ensures accurate project cost estimations and will be essential in driving project decision making. #LI-SM2
Major Responsibilities:
Direct Disciplines & Distribs
- Performs routine quantity takeoffs, within discipline or commodity specialty from design drawings
- Collects, reconciles, and verifies data for summary comparisons
- Applies unit rates (cost and job hour) to quantities and performs portions of the total cost estimate within a discipline or commodity specialty using standard estimating templates
Services
- Supports basic detail pricing for non-manual labor services using functional staffing and other direct cost (ODC) inputs
- Gathers appropriate quantity and labor/ODC information for an assigned discipline or specialty
Overall
- Supports overall estimate generation and consolidation as directed by discipline leads and Project Estimator following standard processes and procedures
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Requires a recent professional graduate (engineering, information technology, finance) with 1 - 2 years of experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Basic knowledge of cost & scheduling relating to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes.
- Efficiency in working in digital systems and programs.
- Willingness to learn new processes and new systems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
- Experience in multi-tasking and working with multiple parties to gather and develop reports and completing assigned duties.
- “Can-do” attitude and ability to actively find solutions to problems.
- Proficient & Creative in Microsoft Excel, Databases, PowerBI.
