Project Overview:

We are building high performing teams to deliver complex EPC heavy civil project and looking for motivated, hands-on, collaborative innovators, doers, and problem solvers. The projects are hydro power generation with scopes including roadway development, significant structures including dams, spillways, tunnel waterways, inlet/outlet structures, hydromechanical equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, and site facilities and buildings. Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead a team to manage all dam construction, safety, and quality activities under a large, high‑complexity EPC program. You will lead and integrate dam scope activities from detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and close‑out, ensuring safe, compliant, cost‑effective, and executable delivery. Your leadership will ensure dam design, geotechnical risk, construction methodology, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance are fully integrated into overall EPC execution. #LI-JL1

Major Responsibilities:

Leadership/Supervision 

  • Manages the organization and direction of construction and related activities of dams, interconnect channel (quarry), spillway and upper reservoir area, including actions of JV site team, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and their representatives.
  • Provides overall leadership, direction, and accountability for area management including supervision of construction craft personnel, field engineering, contract administration, cost and schedule, field procurement, for dams, interconnect channel (quarry), spillway and upper reservoir area through detailed design, procurement, construction, and project closeout.
  • Acts as the primary interface with the client and regulatory authorities for all dam‑related matters.
  • Develops, mentors, and manages a high‑performing dam site team, including staffing, performance management, and succession planning.

Planning

  • Oversees integration between dam engineering, construction execution, ES&H, project controls, contracts, procurement, and other functional disciplines.
  • Establishes and maintains dam‑scope execution strategies, project field procedures, work plans, and governance frameworks in accordance with project requirements.
  • Leads identification, assessment and mitigation of geological, geotechnical design, construction, schedule, cost, and regulatory risks.
  • Leads procurement strategy development and technical evaluation for dam‑related contracts and suppliers.
  • Manages dam‑scope cost, schedule, and performance, ensuring activities remain within approved budgets and schedules.
  • Regularly reports program status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Safety & Quality

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local dam safety regulations, permits, licenses, and approvals.
  • Reviews dam engineering deliverables, technical reports, design calculations, and IFC documentation for completeness, accuracy, and constructability.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Civil Engineering or related discipline with specialization in dam, hydraulic, or water resources engineering.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience, including senior leadership roles on large dam projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of dam engineering, dam safety principles, geotechnical engineering, and heavy civil construction methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of geological and geotechnical risk assessment, mitigation, and monitoring.
  • Advanced knowledge of EPC execution, contract administration, and risk‑informed decision making.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including client and regulator engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex, high‑impact programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
