Job Summary:
We are seeking an AI Implementation & Adoption Lead to join the Rio Grande LNG project team, working directly with project controls, engineering, procurement, construction, and functional leadership to identify business improvement opportunities, build the case for AI-driven solutions, manage their implementation, and drive adoption across the project. This role sits at the intersection of technology and operations — bridging the gap between available AI capabilities and the project’s specific need for enhanced visibility, data-driven decision-making, and process efficiency.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in technology implementation and project management, combined with working knowledge of AI tools and adoption practices, and the interpersonal skills to champion change in a large-scale, complex EPC environment. In this role, you may be required to travel to other corporate or project offices. #LI-CS1
Major Responsibilities:
- Identify AI Opportunities: Collaborate with project controls, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to surface business problems where AI tools — including automation, analytics, and generative AI — can reduce manual effort, improve KPI visibility, and create measurable value.
- Use Case Development: Develop detailed AI use case documentation, including problem statements, objectives, expected outcomes, success metrics, and stakeholder alignment requirements.
- Feasibility & Business Case: Assess the technical and operational feasibility of proposed AI use cases and develop benefits justifications for leadership review.
- Solution Implementation: Serve as the project-side implementation lead, working with corporate AI teams, data scientists, and platform vendors to configure, test, and deploy AI solutions that meet RG LNG’s operational requirements.
- Agile Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of AI initiatives using Agile/Scrum best practices — from discovery and sprint planning through deployment, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Lead client-facing sessions and cross-functional working groups to gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, communicate progress, and drive adoption across project teams.
- Training & Onboarding: Develop training materials, onboarding documentation, and user guides to ensure AI tools are effectively utilized by project personnel.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track KPIs and performance metrics to measure the impact and adoption rates of deployed AI solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain structured project documentation including requirements, design decisions, implementation records, and lessons learned.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with developments in AI tooling and implementation practices, proactively identifying opportunities to improve solutions and workflows on the project.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing technology or software implementations, with demonstrated exposure to AI adoption, digital transformation, or data-driven process improvement. Experience in an EPC, energy, or large-scale infrastructure environment is a plus.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience leading software or technology implementations end-to-end, including client discovery, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
- Working knowledge of AI tools, generative AI platforms, and AI adoption strategies; ability to translate AI capabilities into practical project solutions without deep data science specialization.
- Proficiency in Python and/or other scripting languages for light automation, data processing, or prototype development.
- Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodology; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification preferred (CSM, CSPO, or equivalent).
- Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, resources, scope, and stakeholder communications simultaneously across multiple workstreams.
- Experience conducting requirements-gathering sessions, leading status calls, and producing executive-level reporting.
- Familiarity with data analytics concepts, KPI development, and dashboard or reporting tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, field-based project environment.
- A genuine interest in the potential of AI to transform project delivery in the engineering and construction industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with government or enterprise digital transformation programs.
- Familiarity with project controls systems, scheduling tools, or EPC workflows.
- Spanish language proficiency a plus given project location.
